What a great 2024 Martin Luther King Jr Basketball Tournament!  We had a wonderful long weekend filled with great play, great sportsmanship and a tremendous amount of effort by all of the participating teams.  I would like to thank our MLK volunteers, the large number of parents and students who helped out throughout the weekend is very much appreciated.  This tournament is definitely not possible without the help of each and every one of you.  I would also like to thank the friends and families of all of the players from our school as well as all of the participating schools for coming to support the players.  It was great to have everyone in the gym and the buzz in the gym was tremendous.  Most of you cheered on your teams in a fun and respectful manner and I can’t thank you enough for that!  We will work on improvements in that area in the future.  Speaking of cheering, what a wonderful job our cheer team did throughout the weekend showing their support to our teams!  Great Job!
                Congratulations to ALL of the coaches and players on a great tournament.  It was easy to see the effort you all put in as all of the teams came ready to compete!  All of your players played very well and left it all on the court.  The sportsmanship displayed by most of the players is a testament to the time and effort the coaches put into your teams.  Another area we will continue to work on in the future.  Thank you!
