We are pleased to offer your child a safe, happy environment with various activities and quiet time to study. Our staff consists of a Before Care Director, an After Care Director, and other adult staff. The programs begin on the first day of school.

If you have questions please feel free to call the school Office at 860-828-4343.  Billing for both programs is handled through Smart Tuition. Please be aware that late fees will be applied to accounts with unpaid balances.

Important:  If, in the assessment of the Before Care or After Care Director/staff, your child is ill or becomes ill, you will be asked to arrange for your child to be picked up immediately.

NEW THIS YEAR: Students should not bring their own toys/personal items to the Before Care or After Care program.

$10.00 per day  (includes light breakfast, i.e. milk or juice, muffin, bagel or cold cereal)
Billing for Before Care will appear monthly on your FACTS account.

Not provided on days when school is delayed (late opening due to inclement weather).

Drop off:  At the kitchen door of the school building – near the “Gym Entrance” on the parking lot side of the building.

 Billing for After Care will appear monthly in your FACTS account.

Charges will not be pro-rated. If two or more children in one family attend the program at least 4 days every week, a 10% discount will be given for the month. If two or more children per family attend at least 2 days every week, a 5% discount will be given for the month. 

The typical After Care schedule is as follows:
  
3:00 – 3:15 Check-in 
 3:15 – 4:15 Snack and homework/Quiet time 
 4:15– 5:30 Play (gymnasium or playground - location dependent on weather)
  
 NO Aftercare is offered on early dismissal days for the 2024-2025 school year. 
  
 Your child will need to bring play clothes and sneakers, if desired. A small snack will be provided through the program, but children should bring refillable water bottles with them.  NEW THIS YEAR: students should not bring their own toys or personal items to After Care.
  
 The After Care sign-up form (see column to the left) must be submitted indicating the days your child will regularly attend After Care. If your child will not be attending After Care on his/her regularly scheduled day, you must either send a note to the office, an email to [email protected], or call the office prior to 2:30 PM. This will alleviate confusion at check-in time.
  
 The After Care Emergency Contact form (see left column) must be filled out completely for your child to attend After Care. Please indicate all persons authorized to pick up your child on this form. For safety reasons, when picking up your child from the After Care Program, you must sign him/her out. If a person other than a parent will be picking up your child and is not on the Emergency Contact form, we must be notified beforehand in order to release your child and identification may be requested.
  
 Please note: your child must be picked up by 5:30 or there will be an additional charge of $5.00 for every 15 minutes after 5:30 for excess occurrences. Pick up is in the gym (come in the doors between the school and the Parish Center).
  
 On emergency snow days (children are already in school and an early dismissal is required due to weather conditions) children may attend the After Care Program, but we ask parents to pick up their children as soon as possible – no later than 3:00 PM.
  
 The After Care Program will not operate on the following days:

• Days when school is not scheduled
• During school vacations
• Holidays
• The half-days before Thanksgiving & Christmas
• The final day of school in June
